About Foretoken Labs
Why is it called "Labs"?
We chose the name "Labs" because experimentation is at the heart of what we do. Foretoken Labs is exploring new ways for AI to supplement human thinking. The Steel-Manning Workbench is our first product. We expect to build more. Not every experiment will succeed, but finding what works, and what doesn't, is at the heart of what every good lab does.
Is this just a steel-manning tool?
For now, yes. But the underlying goal is broader: we are looking for places where AI can change the outcome of a real human situation by making the thinking behind it more rigorous. Steel-manning is where we started. It will not be where we stop.
Credits & pricing
How do credits work?
One credit equals one complete analysis. You buy credits in packs — there's no subscription. Credits don't expire.
Do I get a free trial?
Yes — every new account starts with 3 free analyses, no credit card required.
What if an analysis fails?
If the pipeline can't produce a complete, passing result, you're not charged a credit. You'll either get the full analysis or a plain explanation of what went wrong.
Can I get a refund for unused credits?
Credits are non-refundable once consumed, but unused credits don't expire, so there's no pressure to use them by a deadline. See our Terms of Use for full details.
Accuracy & reliability
How accurate is the analysis?
The analysis is generated by AI — specifically Anthropic's Claude models — and like any AI-generated output, it can be incomplete or contain errors. The pipeline includes a structurally independent review step that checks every steel man before it is delivered. That catches the most obvious failures, but it does not make the output infallible. Review the result yourself before acting on it.
Can I rely on this for legal, financial, or other professional decisions?
No. The Workbench is a tool for stress-testing arguments — it does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Your data
What happens to the document I submit?
Your document is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the analysis, under Anthropic's standard API terms. We do not store your document, the analysis outputs, or any intermediate results — they exist only in memory during your session and are deleted within an hour, or sooner once your analysis is complete.
Where can I get a copy of my report afterward?
The PDF you download is your only copy. We don't retain a copy after delivery, so we can't regenerate or recover a lost report.
Do you use my documents to train AI models?
No. We do not retain your documents, and Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.
